Laura Miller is here to serve. The passion of an artist varies within each form
of art that they create, but one of an artist's core desires is to share their insight and the way they view the world with others. She wants her
words to serve as a vessel of empowerment for women and young girls of color; because we are beautiful, strong, and valuable and deserve to feel this way. Laura currently freelances at various publications including Ebony, JetMag.com, Rolling Out and Six Brown Chicks where she serves as a Media Correspondent.
Neecy Roney’s passion
for health and fitness derived from early childhood through participation in
various sports and athletics. She believes that “wisdom is to the mind what
health is to the body”. Neecy is the founder of Chicks with Kicks, Inc. which is
an organization designed to promote health and fitness, as well as serve the
needs of its members through social and competitive means through clinics,
lectures, events, programs and races. She has founded Chicks with Kicks, Inc.
to promote health and wellness and to break the stereotypes barring women to
exercise. Neecy has a Bachelors degree in Kinesiology and MBA in Marketing.
Neecy graduated from NIU with a B.S. in Kinesiology: Preventive and
Rehabilitative Exercise Science . She also has a Master’ s in Business
Administration degree in Marketing from Roosevelt University. She is certified
through American College of Sports Medicine, American Council on Exercise,
Aerobics and Fitness Association of America and American Sport Education
Program.
Jamika B. is a
licensed teacher who loves fashion and styling people. She has always had a
knack for fashion and has enjoyed giving style advice and fashion tips. For the
past nine years she has styled women for different events, ranging from first
dates, job interviews, social parties, to after-five events. She even redesigns
closets and wardrobes to help organize garments. All advice is geared towards
money saving fashion forward tips. During the summer of 2012 Jamika B. started
Fashionably Expressive by Jamika B. in which she coordinates vintage clothing
and accessory trunk show parties. Her shows are very similar to other jewelry
and purse parties but with vintage items. Currently Jamika B. Is a wardrobe
stylist with John Ruffin’s Theater 47 in Chicago, IL. For information about

is a true renaissance woman by every sense of the word. Daughter of

Kesia double majored in Marketing and Entrepreneurship from
the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina,
Columbia. She went on to obtain her MBA from Keller Graduate School of
Management and has 10 years of B2C and B2B sales experience. Kesia’s spent most
of her professional career working in corporate for a Fortune 500 company in
marketing, brand, product and project management.
Kesia founded CHOP CHOP Mobile Salon & Barber as a way to combine her love for haircare, fashion and beauty with her strong belief in creating platforms for multi-cultural engagement and interaction. Mixing her passion with purpose, the idea of a high-end, mobile salon for busy professionals, college students and travelers satisfied her desire to reach and service people from different walks of life.
